Union Station Neighborhood Co.

Increased Daily Activity

Denver is feeling more and more like a metropolis. Residents from within the Central Business District and throughout the region will travel through Denver Union Station at a rapid pace. Transforming downtown into a sea of moving and on a mission.

Again, a metropolis.

Today, nearly 45,000 public transit trips occur daily with people circulating in and out of the historic Union Station, and RTD rail and bus stations. When the whole of the Union Station Neighborhood is complete, that number will increase to nearly 206,000 transit trips daily.

As a result, RTD will create additional modes of transportation including shuttle circulators on 16th Street and 18th Street, 122 miles of new light rail and commuter rail, 18 miles of new bus rapid transit and 57 new transit stations.

Downtown Denver, and its surrounding neighborhoods, will look and feel like one community, connected by public transit and supported by the additional retail, commercial and residential space the Union Station Neighborhood will create.
