Structural Train Hall

The Train Hall is the focal point of the Union Station Neighborhood development.

A focal point that will accomplish a challenging feat. The design of the train hall must visually appeal to passengers, but not distract them from the beauty of the historic Union Station.

Truly meld the past with the future.

To fulfill this objective, the structure is to appear unobtrusive and weightless, yet a architectural icon within Denver.

The middle portion of the train hall's canopy does not exceed the height of the large, arched windows of the historic building. Thus, preserving the view of the historic building and the viewing corridor that extends down 17th Street. All while allowing natural light to pour through the unobstructed arched windows into the historic Union Station.

The canopy looks as though it is weightless. Constructed of stainless steal, arched columns and a Teflon coated fiberglass fabric canopy, the train hall's structure is reminiscent of the Denver International Airport.
