Union Station Neighborhood Co.

Pedestrian Friendly

When conjuring up images of a train station, two words come to mind, hustle and bustle. Train stations are defined by train arrivals and departures, gobs of people and the in-between. Inherently, there will be foot traffic. Daily.

With foot traffic in mind, Denver Union Station's design makes public transportation more enjoyable and less stressful for its guests.

To the Train Hall. Elevators, escalators and stairs allow pedestrians to move from shops and restaurants to the Train Hall quickly to board commuter rail and heavy rail.

Through the Underground Passenger Concourse. Open corridors and moving sidewalks make transitions from rails to shuttles seamless.

To the CBD. The 16th Street Shuttle and 18th and 19th Street Circulator arrive and depart from the Underground Bus Terminal and take you directly to the downtown business district.

To Surrounding Neighborhoods. Pedestrian bridges like the 18th Street Bridge, the Millennium Bridge into Riverfront Park, and the two pedestrian bridges to Platte Street and the Lower Highlands allow people easy access to Denver's urban neighborhoods.
